If elected, I will immediately push for two key reforms:
Recorded Votes in Council
Every vote matters—and you deserve to know how your elected officials are voting. I will implement recorded votes for every council decision, so you can see precisely where each Councillor and the Mayor stand on the issues that affect you.
This empowers you to make informed choices at election time, based on real actions, not just campaign promises.
Reforming In-Camera Rules
Under Alberta’s Municipal Government Act (MGA), specific discussions must remain confidential. But too often, the “in-camera” rule is used to shield decisions that should be public. I will lobby the Alberta Government to loosen these restrictions, allowing municipalities like Olds to be more open with their constituents.
Bottom Line:
I believe in a government that works in the light, not behind closed doors.
